I know someone that has one of these for sale.
Quite what year of manufacture it is I do not know but it has the late type radiator grill.
Are they worth much?

Unfortunately it has been restored with the axles from the later model GAZ Jeep.
Quite how much it is worth with this mod is questionable.

That's quite normal as original parts for the Gaz 67 are rare as rocking horse manure.
Also you will find it has probably got Gaz 69 or UAZ brakes and shock absorbers.
I'm lucky as mine has original axles but UAZ brakes and shocks.
Also the Gaz 67 wartime brakes were rods and cables.which made for interesting performance.
If your friends has the later type pressed grill then it is ok for it to have hydraulic brakes.
Original wheels are also hard to find and a lot have UAZ wheels.
Pics would be nice,as I am always interested in the Gaz67.p.m. if you like. _________________ Name: Valtar Valtarovich Prusins

I think the owner is probably looking for a round £6,000.
If that does not put you off let me know.
It was driven all the way from Russia to the UK.

For 6K it would have to be in pristine condition.I know of one that was fully restored and running well, drove it myself, and sold for 2.5k.Another was sold on ebay ,again restored and in top condition and went to a buyer in America for 10k.
Even when in top condition they are not very interesting and don't fetch much money.
It's only dedicated loons like us who show much interest.
Still it's nice to have another one in the country. That makes about 7 or 8 now. _________________ Name: Valtar Valtarovich Prusins

Look on Milweb in the vehicle sales you will find a couple of dealers selling Soviet kit.
Russian truck.co I think is one and Richard Moore engineering is another.
You can buy a UAZ jeep (cold war era) for a few hundred quid for a fixer up or a couple of grand for one restored.
You can get Gaz 69s which came straight after the 67 for 2-3k running on the road.I know there is at least one Fash group that use these as wartime vehicles because they look the part. _________________ Name: Valtar Valtarovich Prusins

Unfortunately buying anything from a dealer will put the price through the roof.
I have mentioned before a batch of army rebuilt T34/85's in eastern europe which the dealers would not import because they could not make a large enough profit. They have presumably now been scrapped.
The examples currently being offered by dealers look to be in questionable
condition for sky high prices.
