ah yes ive seen that before, very intresting. hmm i wonder if it is possible to "make" a PPD 40 as it is very simerlar hmmm Surprised

Is that similar though? When you get up close and pwersonal with one, you realise that it's got a lot of differences from the Papasha. Apart from being much shorter, the barrel and receiver aren't the same, and the wooden furniture is a different length to a PPSh stock.

Also, it was mainly NKVD units who got issued with them! Twisted Evil

The guy I saw at Kelmarsh makes some pretty tasty wooden repros that would fool the eye from three metres+. I could give you his details if you're interested.
