SS jacket

Postby Comrade Coffin on Wed Oct 31, 2007 3:11 pm

I'm after an SS jacket of some descrption- preferably one with all the nice emblems and insignia on it. This follows an incident down my gun club last week-end, when I was told that I should not be wearing a camoflaged army top down the range (I wear an old British army camo jacket, as they are cheap, durable & have lots of pockets). So I would like an uncamoflaged, repro SS jacket instead.

If we all told him he was a wally would that help?

He looked like a wimp to me anyhow and didn`t have the guts to approach you in person.

I shall nudge him  when he is zeroing  ! or make derogatory  remarks about his weapon!!

Nick, I have an M42 tunic with collar tabs, sleve eagle and shoulder boards.

About a size 40 inch chest.

Yours for £40.

This wish to be Fasch is most unfortunate, to destroy your Political Perception over this matter will weight heavily on your Employment Record....

Hmmm on what basis did they complain about your "smog" cammoflage? (as seen used by Mother Russias elite counter-terrorist forces - i joke not even 1%!)

Was it just some sort of dress code? Would a dinner jacket have been more appropriate?

Actually, that's not a bad idea for next time - hire a tux :D

Or was it a safety issue - wearing cammo obviously reduces your visibility... in which case wear some luminous over trousers with your DPM jacket!

dress code

Comrade Kozlov is right you are obviously not aware that deer stalker and tweed jacket with a leather mini skirt are the appropriate clothing for the range albeit christopher biggins glasses are compulsory- or maybe the gun club that you attend are against army uniforms and prefer nurses uniforms or more politically correct uniforms should be worn like a traffic wardens (see KGB & SOVIET SECURITY UNIFORMS & MILITARIA 1917-1991 by LASZLO BEKESI available from me) or even a teletubby outfit with 'bandito' style bullet bandoliers from your local costume hire centre.

Consolidated

Nick and I present a united front each weekend at the range,by wearing cam every time we go now.

Nick has British DPM and I have Flecktarn .

Sadly the miniskirts are not quite practical and even the women wear trousers !! (No surprise there really ? !!).

There are lots of other people who attend wearing "civilian pattern" camouflaged clothing (oak leaves ,and the odd shrubbery ) and since the range is in a conservation area I thing it suits it admirably.

Nick has recovered now though and doesn`t twitch when we mention that guys name.

There's an antique shop in plymouth that has one of Goerings old dress uniforms for sale, complete with hat.

How would that suit down on the range?
