Comrade, If they are under NKVD Control then they are Freedom Fighters and Heroies of Mother Russia, otherwise they are already dead, just still moving for a bit ( Unauthorised) longer.... .

Well put, People's Army. You'll get a red star in your party book from me. Some useful terms:

Freedom Fighter: Partisans serving the Soviet Union
Bandit: Partisans not necessarily fighting against the Soviet Union but not fighting for us either
Terrorist: Partisans fighting against the Soviet Union

Any armed forces being paid which are not fighting for us are mercenaries.
If they're not being paid, they are dupes of capitalism.
